70 Year Old Woman Arrested With Marijuana at Dulles Airport

A 7o year old traveler was arrested by Customs and Border Protection (CPB) officers at Washington-Dulles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon for transporting and possessing over 200 grams (about a half pound) of marijuana into the United States. The drugs, separated into 86 packets, were concealed inside of a newspaper wrapped bundle of magazine inside of her suitcase. The suspect, Anna Maria Faris, is a legal permanent resident of the United States, but was returning from Germany when she was arrested. The suspect arrived at Dulles aboard a flight from Germany that had stopped in Amsterdam along the way. The suspect was referred to a secondary baggage inspection at which point the marijuana was found and field tested positive.
